About Dr. Chen

I’ve been in private practice for the past three years (since writing this September 2024) and have learned a lot in that time. I’m always changing things up within my practice based on the feedback I get from my patients and also from a strong conviction that recovery from Depression/Anxiety is always possible no matter the circumstances.

Learning how to provide therapy has been a dream career of mine, but I was hit with a lot of the harsh realities of the practice which has luckily helped me improve! I’ve also had the pleasure of receiving high quality therapy so I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the relationship. Those sessions changed my life, and I’d like to help you change yours too!

In terms of the boring stuff, here’s my professional and educational information:

  • Medical School: Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine

  • Psychiatric Residency: UT Tyler Health Science Center

  • Certification: Board Certified in Psychiatry

  • Medical Licensure: Licensed to Practice Medicine in California and Texas
